LGBTQIA+ Services We Provide
At UConn Health, we offer equitable and inclusive care to the LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning+) community members. We foster a spirit of collaboration between our expert primary care doctors and other specialists to ensure complete and personalized care.
We believe in healthcare for all and are proud to actively participate in the Healthcare Equality Index Survey by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.
Primary Care Specialists
Our primary care specialists deliver comprehensive primary care that’s focused on prevention, wellness, and screening. Many of our doctors offer specific LGBTQIA+ services. We also prioritize mental healthcare and offer counseling that is sensitive to the needs of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Transgender Medicine Services
At UConn Health, our specialists offer a range of transgender medicine services to affirm gender identity, including hormone replacement and management; ear, nose, and throat (ENT) surgery; general urological care; gynecologic care; aesthetic plastic surgery; voice therapy; and more.
Infectious Disease Treatment
At UConn Health, we help with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of infections of all types. Our specialists are dedicated to helping patients stay safe and educated about their health and well-being.
