Pharmacy Services & Specialties
Multidisciplinary Approach
We work closely with your providers to ensure your medication is tailored for your condition and overall well being. As part of your coordinated healthcare team, we review your medications for safety, efficacy, side effects and drug interactions.
We have pharmacists who support your physicians and nurses by being present in your Primary Care and Neurology clinics in Farmington, as well as a core member of the Connecticut Comprehensive Pain Center team.
Comprehensive Service
Our team of pharmacists go beyond dispensing prescriptions. We identify, resolve, and prevent drug-related problems and closely monitor medication use to help patients achieve their therapy goals and best outcomes. We also educate patients on medication regimens to ensure safety and efficacy. Working closely with patients, we encourage active participation in daily pharmaceutical care activities to ensure quality care and assess patient outcomes.
Specialized Care 24/7
We provide 24/7 pharmaceutical care. Through our Specialty Pharmacy, we can dispense highly specialized medications for a range of illnesses, from diabetes to migraine disorders, and dedicate a Specialty Pharmacy liaison to assist you during your treatment. Our designated Anticoagulation Clinic allows us to provide unique therapy for those at risk of developing blood clots.
We Are an Academic Medical Center
Through our education system, we teach the next generation of pharmaceutical specialists. Our Pharmacy Residency programs are strongly affiliated with the UConn School of Pharmacy through its many preceptors located at UConn Health, the leader in healthcare in Connecticut.
